TikTok Shop sellers in Vietnam who maintain seller accounts on the platform. The policy addresses situations where a seller’s account balance falls below zero due to miscellaneous platform expenses exceeding shop revenue, resulting in outstanding fees owed to TikTok Shop.

Insight

TikTok Shop requires sellers to maintain account balances above zero and avoid negative balances by maintaining positive cashflow. The policy defines negative balance as when account balance has a value below zero, indicating outstanding fees with TikTok Shop. Two specific Xử phạt thresholds trigger actions: (1) negative account balance of ANY amount for 10 consecutive days, or (2) negative account balance exceeding US$100. Negative balances may occur when miscellaneous platform expenses exceed shop revenue. Second, Funds Deduction - the platform may deduct available funds from any monies due or that may become due to the seller (including sale proceeds) to resolve the negative balance; sellers receive prior reminders through Seller Center to add funds. Third, Suspension of Seller Benefits - includes but not limited to: creation of new self-promotional activities (free shipping, flash deals, discounts, coupons), and participation in new and ongoing self-promotional activities and campaigns (does not apply to customers currently participating in campaigns). Appeals are only accepted when negative balances are resolved; sellers may file Kháng cáo through Seller Center by raising a ticket if they believe enforcement was in error or can provide proof negative balance will be resolved within 30 calendar days. Benefits, wallet functionality, and withheld monies are only restored after negative balances resolved. Maintain positive cashflow to keep account balance above zero at all times. Monitor account balance regularly to avoid negative balance of any amount for 10 consecutive days or exceeding US$100. If approaching negative balance, add funds to account promptly upon receiving reminders through Seller Center. If wallet withdrawal function is frozen, resolve negative balance to unfreeze and release withheld funds. If seller benefits are suspended, resolve negative balance to restore ability to create new self-promotional activities (free shipping, flash deals, discounts, coupons) and participate in new campaigns.
