There are two seller types: INDIVIDUAL SELLERS (Vietnamese citizens aged 18+, using personal Identity Card; cannot sell certain restricted brands) and CORPORATE SELLERS (Vietnam-registered entities, using business licenses/company registrations; can register up to 5 seller accounts per verified business entity after submitting Thương hiệu Authorisation documents). KEY SHOP NAME RESTRICTIONS: max 40 characters; no banned products, discriminatory language, inappropriate political content, hate speech, sexual content, abusive content, or violence; NO ‘TikTok’ without permission; NO third-party platform names (Lazada, Shopee, Amazon, Instagram, Facebook) without authorisation; NO brand names without written authorisation (only ‘Official’ permitted for authorised brands; ‘Flagship’, ‘Authorized’ and similar terms Sản phẩm cấm); NO comparisons (‘better’, ‘best’, ‘vs’); NO duplicate names; NO external contact info/websites; must use official marketplace language; NO solely alphanumeric strings, special characters (*, , ?, ], etc.), or pure numbers; NO purely generic words like ‘Automotive’, ‘Shop’, ‘Store’. SELLER PROFILE must include: country, province, district, full geographic address, postal/zip code, and any requested identifying documents. INDIVIDUAL VERIFICATION: government-issued Vietnamese Identity Card (front and back visible, matching registered account name, valid during entire business period). CORPORATE VERIFICATION: business licenses/registration documents (full pages, legible entity name, valid throughout business period; notify TikTok Shop of any changes), government-issued ID of legal representative/company director/person with significant control (matching registered account name and all identity documents), plus beneficial ownership information when requested. DOCUMENT FORMAT: png or jpg only; high-quality, colored, unobstructed; no angled/blurry/black-and-white/cropped screenshots; multi-page files must be combined into one-page file; file names must not be random text/alphanumeric or contain special characters. BANK ACCOUNT: corporate must use business bank account with name matching business entity name on licenses; individual must match identity document name. APPLICANTS PROHIBITED if under investigation or subject to Xử phạt by trade/consumer protection authorities, including multi-level marketing, Ponzi, or pyramid schemes - may be suspended until favorable resolution or sanctions expire. TikTok Shop may conduct periodic verification checks, request supplementary documents, and Reviews approved accounts at any time; violations may result in punitive action per Merchant Terms of Service.
