TikTok Shop Vietnam sellers who receive SNAD violations when customers report that delivered products do not match product descriptions, listing pages, or advertised specifications. Applies to all sellers on TikTok Shop Vietnam platform.

Insight

A Significantly Not as Described (SNAD) product is a Vi phạm reason given to shops when customers receive products that are not as described or do not match the seller’s product description/listing pages. SNAD violations occur in three main non-exhaustive scenarios: (1) The delivered item was significantly different from the product’s description/listing page — examples include sending a towel instead of a phone, green pants instead of red pants, or L-sized t-shirt instead of M-sized t-shirt; (2) The delivered item was significantly lower in value than the advertised price on the product’s description/listing page — examples include sending an iPhone 8 instead of iPhone 12, or sending only 1 item when product was advertised as “buy one get one free”; (3) The delivered item (or components of the item) was missing, or the seller sent an empty package — examples include sending an empty package instead of a keyboard, or missing items/product/components that were promised on the product description page. Misleading, irrelevant, or false product advertising negatively impacts customer buying experience because customers heavily rely on product photographs, videos, and descriptions when buying online. Sellers who breach SNAD guidelines may have Xử phạt actions taken against their account, with repeated offenses resulting in more significant penalties. Sellers can Kháng cáo enforcement actions via Seller Center if they believe the action was taken in error.

Ensure your product description page matches your product stock (shape, color, functionality, etc.). Provide sizing guidance or charts to avoid customer confusion. If you send a product in random color, ensure you state this clearly on your description page and communicate this with your potential customer. Do not use misleading product names and descriptions that do not describe your product. Always ensure the condition of your products is acceptable and perform quality control before sending them out to customers. Solve any customer complaints and product issues as soon as possible.
